ATA Chapter는 미국항공운송협회(ATA, Air Transport Association of America)에서 항공종사자들이 항공기를 이해하기 위해 chapter 별로 나눈 표준 문서이다.
특히, 항공조종사와 항공정비사가 항공기에 대해 의사소통을 나눌때 사용될 수 있는 의사소통 표준 챕터라고 말할 수 있다. 안전성과 정시성을 중요시하는 항공산업 특성 상 빠르고 정확한 의사소통은 필수조건이며, 이 조건을 달성하기 위해 꼭 필요한 표준 문서라고 볼 수 있다.
